This five-bedroom home on Park Lane has a modern Santa Barbara feel and private grounds

Situated on a half acre lot in Old Preston Hollow, this Santa Barbara style home offers plenty of privacy and ample space for indoor and outdoor entertaining.

The house was built in 2013 and was designed by David Stocker of SHM Architects. Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty co-listing agent Pogir said the design was ahead of its time, offering a modern twist on the Santa Barbara vibe.

The home measures 7,864 square feet and has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and two half bathrooms.

Pogir said one of the most unique features of the house is its appeal for indoor and outdoor living. The house has a C-shaped layout with a swimming pool and covered patios in the middle.

“The indoor-outdoor connection is so spectacular,” he said, noting that many indoor spaces have a direct view of outdoor entertaining spaces.

As you enter the home’s foyer, you can see the pool and outdoor entertaining areas through the windows and open concept design in the living areas. The living room is next to the fireplace and the windows on both sides of the room offer views of the property. There is a bar at one end of the living room and an office on one side towards the front of the house.

The house’s kitchen and dining room are on the other side of the foyer. There is a butler’s pantry that connects the dining room to the kitchen. The kitchen is spacious and suitable for both a breakfast area and a small sitting area. The back patio is accessible from the kitchen through a set of French doors.

The first floor of the home also features two half baths, a secondary office, a three-car garage, and a guest bedroom or flex room. A bathroom next to the bedroom is easily accessible from the pool and the patio.

Five bedrooms are on the second floor of the house. In the master suite, there are two walk-in closets, a bathroom with two sinks, a freestanding bathtub and many views of the property through large windows.

The third level includes a games room area and a fitness room. The house has an elevator to allow access between floors.

Outside, the entire property is gated and manicured hedges provide privacy with the surrounding areas. Pogir said the sellers have landscaped the land extensively, including planting several magnolias and grass on the property. The outdoor patio next to the pool has a fire pit and BBQ area.

The house at 5807 Park Lane is on the market for $6,495,000. It is co-listed by Nora Kutob and Pogir of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty.

It’s part of our Chic properties series, offering a peek inside beautiful North Texas homes for those who enjoy looking at homes. It is not paid for or presented by real estate agents or companies in the area.
