Date set for 13th Annual Armed Forces Blood Drive

ASHEBORO NC – On October 5, 2022, the Randolph County government will sponsor its 13th Annual Armed Services Blood Drive in support of the military.

Blood drive will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the National Guard Armory located at 1430 S. Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC.

Blood donated directly to the Armed Forces Blood Program equates to fewer units the military has to purchase from an outside source. Yes, “buy”. Other sources of blood are sold to agencies that need it, including the military.

Donations will support deployed service members, Womack Army Medical Center and other military treatment
facilities within the Ministry of Defence. The Fort Bragg Blood Donor Center is one of more than 20
Armed Forces Blood Program Blood Donor Centers around the world. The Armed Services Program is the
official United States military blood program and provides a direct link between those who
give and to military service members who need vital blood.
