Curtis Packaging acquires the world’s first Scodix Ultra 6000 SHD press

Curtis Packaging, specialists in luxury folding carton packaging for some of the world’s most iconic brands, has invested in the first SHD-powered Scodix Ultra 6000 press, launched this month at PRINTING United Expo.

As the trend towards shorter runs and increased product releases continues, the SHD-powered Scodix Ultra 6000 will allow Curtis to keep up with demanding turnaround times, while the number and quality of embellishments will “satisfy virtually any customer need” according to Don Droppo. The Scodix Ultra 6000 press embellishes printing up to 1000 B1 sheets per hour. The new Smart High Definition (SHD) model incorporates algorithm-controlled software to achieve high precision and clarity of intricate detail for stunning visual bump and embellishment.
